Your privacy matters. This notice explains how we process personal data when you visit Del Moro Sicily, read the journal, browse experiences, or send a request. The site promotes travel and experiences in Sicily and related services (tours, rentals, stays, and similar), curated by Gabriele Virzì.
Data controller: Gabriele Virzì, as the person responsible for the Del Moro Sicily brand and project. To exercise your rights or for privacy questions, use the contacts on the Contact page (email and other details shown there). Categories of data: we may process identity and contact details (name, surname, email, phone), content you type into forms (messages, travel preferences, indicative dates), technical browsing data generated automatically (IP address, browser type, access times in aggregated or technical log form), and, if you join the newsletter, the email address needed to send it. Purposes and legal bases: (1) responding to enquiries sent through forms and preparing experience proposals or quotes: processing necessary to take steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) or, where not yet contractual, legitimate interest in handling visitor correspondence; (2) newsletter communications, only with your consent where required (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR); (3) site security, abuse prevention, and legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR). Retention: we keep data for as long as needed to handle the request and for any later accounting or tax duties, unless the law requires longer. Technical logs may be kept for limited periods compatible with service security. Recipients: data may be processed by suppliers who support us (hosting, email, site management) as processors under GDPR-compliant arrangements where applicable. We do not sell your personal data. Transfers outside the EEA: if we use providers outside the European Economic Area, we apply appropriate safeguards (for example the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses) where required. Your rights: you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection where applicable, portability of data you supplied in a structured format, and withdrawal of consent for consent-based activities. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Changes: we will update this notice if purposes or tools change; please review it periodically.
